The Bear Den

The Bear Den is Mark's studio, built out of an outbuilding on his homestead in West Michigan. It is where he makes his own records and where he records and produces other artists, under his own banner, Bear Mark Productions.

What comes out of the Bear Den: full-band tracking and production, remote dobro and lap steel sessions sent back the same week, overdubs, mixing help, and custom songs and cues written to picture for film, television and advertising. His full back catalogue is available for sync, and he owns his masters, so licensing is one conversation, not five.

Hi - Mark here (insert winky face, “haHA” exclamation followed by a bear hug of an embrace).

I built my home studio out of an outbuilding on my homestead and finished it up nice like. Contact me if you’re interested in the gear list for the studio that creates the unique soundscapes that we cultivate sunrise thru sundown. I am pretty much in the studio from morning on until a probable gig by night, then back to the studio post-show before closing in. Currently, I am writing my own music, collaborating with a few bands/artists/writers/creators/producers, and diving into the world of sync licensing. My current passion projects are a collaboration w/ Popular Beat Combo’s own Malcolm Francis, and always writing and recording toward whatever comes next.
